"Moulin d'Ibure" is a former water mill in the village of Bardos near Biarritz on the French Atlantic Coast.
It is situated in the middle of the gently hilly landscape of the outskirts of the Pyrenees approximately
25km from the coast. It was built in the 16th century at the confluence of the rivers "Laharanne"
and "Lihoury" on the edge of the wood "Bois de Mixte", which is now a nature reserve. The vast
garden with its old trees, flowered bushes and subtropical plants is a paradise for people who seek
peace and tranquillity. The whole estate covering about 7,4 acres is also determined by it's natural
surroundings including the old and mighty dam, the riverside and the mill's canals. Starting from
this idyllic silence with a rural neighbourhood you can easily reach beautiful beaches, impressive
mountains or neighbouring Spain.
The property "Moulin d'Ibure" consists of three buildings: the former house of the miller
(Maison Ibure), the former mill
(Moulin) and the old workshop. Maison Ibure and
Moulin have been redecorated and newly furnished in 2015. Both are at your disposal for
wonderful holidays in France.
